Susan Cull

State Manager, Regional WA

Since March 2021, Susan Cull has been in the role of State Manager – Regional WA for the Chamber of Minerals and Energy of Western Australia (CME). In this role Susan is tasked with developing and delivering a whole of state strategy for CME to represent industry in regional WA with a single constructive voice, and in turn support communities to be a positive voice for our sector.

In her previous role as Manager – Workforce Capability with CME, Susan was responsible for the advocacy of diversity and inclusion in the WA resources sector; promotion of career opportunities in the sector, particularly for girls and women; and the advocacy of current and future training and education needs of the sector. The establishment and growth over the past decade of CME’s Women in Resources Awards has been Susan’s proudest career achievement to date. Susan commenced her working career as a primary teacher in Albany WA.

With strong interest and skills in continuous improvement, relationship building and facilitating collaboration, together with a personal love for regional WA, Susan strives to ensure the resources sector maintains a proactive, engaging and resilient relationship with regional community members, to build a shared understanding of local needs, issues and concerns, and maintain support.

In addition to her work life, Susan values quality time with her husband, two teenage children and rescue dog. Camping in remote places across WA and taking in WA’s spectacular coastline helps Susan balance the demands of work and family life and the nail-biting challenge of teaching her teenagers to drive.
