South West Environment Forum tours Boddington gold mine

Last week Newmont Australia hosted CME’s South West Environment Forum at its Boddington Gold Mine. Enjoying the beautiful weather, CME members were taken on a tour of Newmont Boddington Gold Mine operations in the heart of the South West Jarrah forest.

Members shared news on their company’s environmental activities and approvals applications and discussed the progress of various environmental legislative and policy reforms underway.

CME launches NEW Environment Sundowner Series

SAVE THE DATE – Wednesday 21 April 3.30pm

CME is launching a new Environment Sundowner Series. For this event, we will explore the topic of mine closure and relinquishment, engaging with industry experts in considered and robust discussion to deliver insights into the key issues and opportunities in mine closure and relinquishment in Western Australia, including alternative land uses and transitions to post-mining economies.

The Environment Sundowner Series provides a forum which encourages diverse thinking and creates an opportunity for CME members to network with industry peers and special guests.

The April event will feature insights and perspectives from across industry, research, and risk and governance, with a moderated panellist discussion and the opportunity for members to engage through Q&A.

Look out for more details and invitations coming soon. We look forward to seeing you there!
