Once the DIAC IOO is aware of your projected needs, the Department can be prepared for any significant increases in application numbers. 

Visa Options

Temporary Residence – limited validity for jobs of up to four years

Permanent Residence – permanent option for ongoing positions 

  • Employer nominations 
  • Regional sponsorship 
  • Labour Agreements
  • Skilled Occupations Lists (SOL, ENSOL)
    • Employers can nominate workers with occupations on the ENSOL
    • Workers without employer/sponsor can only apply for General Skilled Migration (GSM) if their occupation is on the SOL
  • Other options

HR managers and staff dealing with global mobility and overseas recruitment are encouraged to contact the IOO to establish contact and discuss their strategic and immediate overseas resourcing needs.
