INFORMATION SESSIONS FOR EMPLOYERS

Industry Information Session

With many resource projects in Western Australia under development and unemployment numbers falling, the pressure to secure a skilled workforce is building.

While industry, State and Commonwealth Governments support Australian citizens and permanent residents being given work opportunities over foreign workers, all are fully aware that local supply may not meet industry needs.

With predictions of strong growth in the demand for labour, including the need to import overseas skilled labour, now is the time to put processes in place to ensure that you are able to tap into overseas labour in time for those people to be on-stream when you need them.

A Commonwealth Government Immigration Officer is based at the Chamber of Minerals and Energy of Western Australia (CME), to provide free advice to member companies across a range of visa options.

CME, on behalf of the Resources Sector Consortium (CME, AMMA and APPEA), will be hosting information sessions conducted by the Skilled Migration Adviser.

Please check the events page for upcoming dates

These sessions are appropriate for business managers or HR officers dealing with recruitment in the resources sector, rather than migration agents or external consultants.
