New Appointments Boost CME
02/09/10
The Chamber of Minerals and Energy of Western Australia (CME) is pleased to announce two key appointments - Bruce Campbell-Fraser as Executive Officer, People Strategies; and Andrew Winter, Policy Officer, Environment.
CME Chief Executive Reg Howard-Smith welcomed both appointments.
“With extensive policy and political experience, Bruce has spent the past decade as a senior government advisor – both at a state and federal level,” Mr Howard-Smith said.
“Labour demand, education and training and targeted migration are among priority issues for the sector over the next few years, and Bruce’s policy experience will benefit our members.”
Most recently, Bruce served as a Senior Advisor to the Federal Minister for Immigration and Citizenship.
Previous roles include Principal Policy Advisor to former Premier Alan Carpenter and Chief of Staff to both the former WA Minister for Health and the former WA Minister for Energy, Science and Innovation.
Mr Howard-Smith said Andrew also had a strong background in the area of policy development.
“Andrew has worked for the Australian Government for the past five years,” Mr Howard-Smith said.
“During this time, the former secondary school science teacher has risen through the ranks to the position of Manager, Sustainable Mining – Resources Division, with the Federal Department of Resources, Energy and Tourism.”
Bruce and Andrew commence with CME next week.
