CME Innovation Awards 2010 - Winners Announced

The CME Innovation Awards are the WA resource industry's peak safety innovations accolade. The Awards recognise creativity and ingenuity in improving the workplace and aim to promote their application across the WA minerals and resources industry.

Entry is open to all Western Australian companies in the minerals and resource sector including contractors associated with the industry. Entries were accepted during October, November and December 2009.

The Awards were presented in conjunction with the CME Safety and Health Conference on 29 March 2010. Winners of the CME Innovation Awards for 2010 were:

  • Industry Choice Award Rio Tinto Iron Ore – ‘Extended Ring Main Unit Operating Handle’
  • People Category Industry Road Safety Alliance - ‘Industry Road Safety Alliance Initiative’
  • Systems Category Macmahon Holdings Ltd - ‘Conveyor Safe Work System’
  • Engineering Category BHP Billiton Nickel West – ‘Zero Harm Communications Trailers’
