Accounts clerks record and compile summaries of the financial transactions of an enterprise for management purposes. Accounts clerks in the minerals industry may perform the following tasks:

  • receive and record invoices and arrange payment;
  • prepare and send invoices to debtors;
  • process accounts;
  • calculate, compile and distribute salaries and wages;
  • prepare regular reports and summaries of accounts;
  • prepare financial statements.
