In the Regions
IN THE REGIONS
Resource sector activity is spread throughout Western Australia, with flow-on benefits to many regional and remote communities.
The sector has the potential to influence quality of life and development outcomes in its key producing and operating regions. CME members are the primary producers of value and employment in regional and remote Western Australia. In addition to taxation contributions and royalties which flow into Government revenue, the resources industry plays a pivotal role in providing employment and the development of infrastructure, underpinning the viability of towns, transport, services and major regional infrastructure projects.
CME recognises the importance of these regions and the communities in which our members operate and has a focussed advocacy agenda.
CME supports its members through a dedicated regional office in Kalgoorlie and regional councils in the

regions. CME's regional councils promote greater awareness of the resources sector throughout Western Australia, proactively address regional issues and develop links with all stakeholders in regional locations.
